We are finally finished! After a whirlwind renovation, we put our fixer upper on the market and moved into our new dream home...just in time to be quarantined. But we didn't mind it all that much at first. It allowed us to unplug for a little while and focus on settling into our new place. After the draining process of home-selling/buying/moving it was wonderful to finally be able to take a breath.
FOCUS: My Word of Intention for 2020
Each year, I pick a word of intention. Something I'll use throughout the year to remind myself of my goals and the mindset I want to maintain. This year, I chose the word FOCUS. I recently finished Marie Forleo's book, Everything is Figureoutable. She described herself as a "multi-passionate entrepreneur." Yep, I thought...that's me! I'm passionate about a lot of things, which is wonderful. But I need the reminder that I can't do all the things well...at least not at the same time!

Well I'm back from my trip to Scotland! I finished going through my sketches and thousands (yes, literally thousands) of pictures and I wanted to share a few with you. I was in awe of the detailed architecture (including a few Outlander sites) as well as the breathtaking scenery.

Painted in a loose, informal style with a touch of pen and ink to accentuate the details, the charm and je ne sais quoi of Paris shines through. I used vibrant pops of color to evoke a feeling of light and movement.
